You will receive hands-on training in duplex ultrasonography for vascular access by dedicated vascular access surgeons and experienced vascular technicians. From 08:30 to 10:30, you will learn how to assess sites for central venous catheter insertion and how to perform vessel mapping of the arms for arteriovenous access creation. From 11:00 to 13:00, you will learn how to do a duplex ultrasound examination of functional arteriovenous fistulas for surveillance, including brachial artery flow measurements.
