Dearest colleague,

The 21st European Vascular Course was a great success! We welcomed 2300 participants from 60 different countries on March 5-7 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

One day earlier, the UEMS Section and Board of Vascular Surgery organized the European examinations for vascular and endovascular surgery and hosted a record number of candidates.

In the EVC 2017 statistics you can read the outcome of the questionnaire, expressing high rates for the content and organization of EVC (click here). All delegates enjoyed the scientific lectures, master classes and workshops as well as the individual training sessions. In the next couple of weeks, all presentations and lectures will be online in our EVC Community. If you registered for EVC 2017 you have free access for one year. You can find the photo gallery here.

If we analyze the age distribution of our participants it becomes very clear that EVC is typically attractive for trainees and younger vascular and endovascular surgeons. The difficult quiz was completed by 258 delegates and only 7 reached a 100% score. A ballot decided that Maday Cabrero wins the Ipad.

We already started with the preparations of the 22nd EVC (March 4-6, 2018), including even more training and education activities for our participants.

Our goal is to educate and inspire

The main goal of EVC is to provide theoretical and practical education offering participants the most recent knowledge on arterial, venous and vascular access subjects.

In addition to the invited lectures, instructive edited videos, master classes and workshops, all participants receive the high level quality text- and abstract book at registration. Furthermore, we offer and promote challenging case discussions in small groups where you can share your views and experience together with the experts in the field. Finally, our industry partners will inform you on their latest innovations and developments during their workshops.

We look forward to welcome you at our 22nd European Vascular Course!

We will keep you informed and hope to welcome you at EVC next year!

On behalf of all EVC directors,

Jan Tordoir
