Goal: to learn the surgical techniques of debranching the brachiocephalic trunk, left carotid and left subclavian arteries.
Debranching of the supra-aortic vessels has become more and more important due to the progress in the field of endovascular treatment of the aortic arch. Mastery of this procedure is required; also for open aortic arch replacement.
In aortic arch and descending thoracic aortic diseases, endovascular therapy is increasingly becoming a valid less invasive strategy. In order to facilitate endovascular implantation, debranching of the supra aortic arteries might be necessary. This interactive workshops addresses all technical issues and strategies to perform these procedures.
